About the MoneyWorks Forms Designer

MoneyWorks Express and Gold include a Forms Designer that allows you to modify existing form templates (invoices, statements, purchase orders, quotes, checks/cheques etc.) or create new forms from scratch. The Forms Designer is very powerful and can be used to create complex forms involving calculations (look ups, if statements etc.) as well as graphic tools to portray your desired corporate look and feel.

The Reference manual includes a full chapter on Forms Designer starting on page G-365 and for anyone that has used graphic design applications and is somewhat savvy on databases, it should be relatively easy to get the information you want displayed on your forms or modify invoices to become quotes, packing slips etc. or what ever your work flow demands. There are also some free Form Designer articles on the Support blog here that will walk you through different options for your forms.

So you may not need this service.

However for many business owners, databases and graphic design applications are not their expertise and the time required to acquire those skills, could best be spent on running their business. If that is the case this service is for you.

Pricing and Terms

  • Flat Rate of $25.00 per form (CAD or USD)
Terms are prepayment via credit card (Visa or MasterCard). A receipt will be issued and sales taxes will apply for Canadian residents. Prices listed are in CAD & USD. Canadian customers will be charged in CAD dollars, and USA customers in USD.
 

Response Time

Normal response is 3 working days. However the difficulty of Forms Design varies based on the information that you want to display e.g. looking of related values from inventory or names records etc. and in those cases more complex calculations have to be created and tested, so those type of forms will take longer.

Once created the Forms can be added to your MoneyWorks Custom Plug-ins folder and accessible to all assigned users. You could also modify the forms in the future if the address changed or you wanted to add more info yourself.

Note: Even though Cashbook does not include Forms Designing capabilities, Forms can be created in Express and Gold and then added to your Cashbook plug-ins folder where the new form becomes accessible.
